With regard to the accident of a transportation plane of the Myanmar Defense Forces (Y-8200F), No. 5820, which crashed on 7 June 2017, foreign ambassadors to Myanmar sent messages of condolences to President U Htin Kyaw, State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces. Some ambassadors mentioned their condolences in their statements or in news releases.

As of the afternoon of June 9, 2017, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Vietnam, P.R. China, India,
U.S.A, UK, Belarus, Canada, Czech Republic, France, EU, Israel, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Serbia, Turkey and Zambia have either sent messages of condolences or issued statements of sympathy in this regard, it is learnt.
