During the on-going search operation of the ill-fated Y-8 transport plane that crashed into the Andaman Sea, the tail part of the plane was found and it was retrived from the sea together with the Flight Data Recorder (Black Box) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) on 18 June 2017.
So far, 92 bodies of people on board the aircraft who lost their lives were recovered.
